September 04, 2012
While surfing online, I randomly bumped with this site - www.firsttoknow.com, which automatically caught my attention as soon as I read the caption. So anyway, I just really wanna share it with you folks. If you want to read more about it, you can check out the site I previously mentioned. Go drool! =))

“Give a girl the correct footwear and she can conquer the world”
Bette Midler

1. Stuart Weitzman
We couldn’t have a dream category and not include the Stuart Weitzman Diamond Dream Stilletos.

These blinged-out strappy heels were showcased by Dreamgirls actress Anika Noni Rose at the 2007 Oscars. Designed by Stuart Weitzman especially for the event, these dazzlers are valued at $500,000. With 1,420 sparkly diamonds, it’s easy to imagine why the price-tag is so high. The sandal-style stilettos feature two bands of diamond-encrusted circles atop each foot, and have a simple band across the toes.

2. Gucci
Another luxury brand-name that makes an appearance on many celebrities’ well-pedicured feet is Gucci. They can be regularly spotted on the likes of Paris Hilton, Mary J. Blige, and model Joan Smalls.
This pair of Gucci Woven leather boots is tough as well as stylish, and the going price for the pair is $3,750.

3. Manolo Blahnik
A huge brand name in the shoe industry, Manolo Blahniks are known for their very high heels and similarly high prices. The well-loved brand has a cult-like dedication among its customers, but came to popular public awareness thanks to Carrie Bradshaw, the fashionable lead from Sex and the City.
The brand has shoes in the $400- 800 range, but this pair of alligator boots, available at Manolo Blahnik’s West 54th Street boutique in New York, was valued at a whopping $14,000.

4. Mai Lamore
These appropriately-named Rose Shoes are from designer Mai Lamore, and priced at $27,945 they are one of the most expensive pairs out there. The Paris-based designer made these heels to resemble a true rose– complete with petals, leaves, a thorny stalk and, yes, that’s a bee sitting on top of the toe-straps. These pair of heels are considered a true work of art by some admirers.
To make these beauties, the designer used 18-karat yellow gold for the heels, hand-dyed the silk petals, and adorned the stilettos with precious stones like agate and onyx.

5. Christian Louboutin
These are a celeb-favorite. The brand, with its signature red-sole, can be seen on celebrities like Hayden Panettiere, Irina Shayk and Frida Pinto to name a few. Louboutin has custom designed footwear for such fashion icons as Barbie, and the shoes even made a cameo in Jennifer Lopez’s hit song “Louboutins,” in which she stomps away from a doomed relationship in the stylish shoes.
The Christian Louboutin Croc Simple Pumps, pictured here, feature genuine alligator skin and go for $4,465.

6. Stuart Weitzman
Rounding out our list is the number one most expensive pair of shoes out there: Stuart Weitzman’s Rita Hayworth Heels, which are valued at a mind-blowing 3 million dollars! These beauties, adorned with rubies, sapphires and diamonds, were inspired by Rita Hayworth’s favourite pair of earrings. Today they are owned by Princess Yasmine Aga Khan, Hayworth’s daughter, and are not for sale. However, recording artist and actress Kathleen “Bird” York got to wear them at the 2006 Oscars. Lucky girl.

7. Dorothy's Ruby Slippers from The Wizard of Oz
(Okay, so this one isn't originally part of the list but I am adding it as it actually worth $666,000!)

Experts believe seven pairs of slippers were created for the 1939 film starring, but three pairs have gone missing, and a fourth was stolen from the Judy Garland Museum in 2005. One pair sold for $666,000 at auction by Christie's, and Lady Gaga allegedly got a pair for her 25th birthday. The ones you see here are sitting in the Smithsonian. They are actually white silk pumps from the Innes Shoe Co. and were customised in dark red sequins by the Wizard of Oz costume department. The bows feature large red glass jewels, bugle beads and glass rhinestones in silver settings.
